Warsaw, Poland – Dr. Vanessa Linke, Head of the Mass Spectrometry Facility (MSF) at The International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB) is among the first authors of a recently published article in Science Advances.
The study, led by co-first authors Mayra A. Borrero-Landazabal and Vanessa Linke and co-corresponding authors Albert J. R. Heck (University of Utrecht) and Agnieszka Chacińska (IMol Polish Academy of Sciences), is entitled “A dynamic gateway: Uncovering the expanded human TOM complex interactome and its regulatory complexity”.
In the study, mass spectrometry was used to
- uncover the human-specific interactome of a mitochondrial membrane protein complex,
- capture its transient interactions via a membrane-permeable crosslinker, as well as
- map unique interprotein cross-links to specific amino acid residues.
The mass spectrometry data was uploaded to a public repository and can be found here, here, and here. Similar services are available to our clients as part of an Interactomics service or the upcoming Crosslinking service currently under development.
